Caution Who are Caution? Caution are an inventive 5 piece band with their own style of rock music. The band are all friends and live within a mile of each other. They have been playing, writing and performing together for over 3 years and are a tightly bound group of 15/16 year olds who simply enjoy what they do. They have almost completed their first album, having funded their own recording studio time. What sets them apart? First impressions of Caution are of a young, good looking and talented band. Their visual performance shows confidence and their own material is exciting and original. Music industry judges have been left spell bound. Their performances are full of inventive energetic routines that underpin their entertaining and intricate music. Their confident stage show always engages with the audience and they never fail to impress people where ever they go. At their young age they already have the stage presence and musical ability of a professional band that is well established in the industry. What have they achieved ? It is encouraging to see the amount this young band has already achieved. Apart from regular gigging they have: In 2006, at the age of 14, they beat dozens of established acts in the qualifying heats and regional finals to come 4th in the England final of the Global Battle of the Bands competition (GBOB). They won BBC Radio Berkshire’s ‘The Session’ in early 2007. In 2007 they again entered the GBOB competition, winning through the heats to come 4th at the England final at Birmingham Town Hall. They played at Camden’s Barfly on 1st December 2007, courtesy of ‘Wildplum’. On the same day they played at MusicTek and featured on BBC Essex Radio. They entered the 2008 Live and Unsigned competition and have won their heats to reach the regional final. They have used their musical ability to support local events and charities, where they have drawn in large crowds to raise money: After the GBOB success in 2006 the band organised and performed at a local Children in Need show that raised £2400 for the charity. They played the Reading Hexagon in 2007 for a charity called Berkshire Association of Clubs for Young People (BAYCP) and Millennium Volunteers. In June 2007 the band were invited to play at the local Woodley Carnival where they were spotted by a director of Marvellous Festivals who invited them to open the 14th July Saturday Show.
